Cydonia Screen Print Poster
Cydonia is a screen printed poster based of the song, Knights of Cydonia, by Muse. This five layer poster uses screen print techniques like overprint and trapping to create the values on the poster. It is a 6inx18in poster, which allows for a more unique composition and a breaking of the border. Breaking the border makes the illustration much more dynamic and adds action to the horse’s movement.
Through the position of the subject and the color pallet, I wanted to create a sense of intensity, as the song itself has intense sounds and lyrics.
